Touchscreen Integration

Optical Filters has extensive knowledge and practice creating more readable, ruggedized touchscreens for a wide variety of utilizations. Customize your protection and enhancements or take advantage of our expertise in integrating complete touchscreen assemblies.

Protection

Protect touchscreen displays with several different options from our stocked glass and plastic. Glass options include plain, Anti-Glare (AG) etched, chemically toughened, Anti-Reflective (AR) and Anti-Fingerprint (AF). AR/AF is an especially practical combination since it increases usability but does not degrade optical performance. Plastic options include acrylic and polycarbonate. The polycarbonate also comes in AR, AR/AF, and non-glare coats.

Further protect sensitive components with Electromagnetic and Radio Frequency Interference shielding (EMI and RFI). Optical Filters offers specialized EMI and RFI shielding options such as EmiClare Micromesh, EMI-ITO coated glass, EMI-AG film and woven wire mesh.

Enhancement

Enhance readability and performance of touchscreen displays and prepare them for various applications. Improve sunlight readability and reduce reflections with AR, AF, AR/AF AG coatings or protective film, as well as polarizers.

Maximize safety with privacy filters and increase heat rejection performance with 3M Thermal Management film and infrared filters, or maintain operating temperature with Optical Filters' own range of transparent heaters.

Integration

Incorporate touchscreens into multi-functional optical stacks and assemblies through lamination or bonding. Apply everything from simple Optical Clear (OCA) or Pressure Sensitive Adhesives (PSA) to LCDs. Dry film laminate using polyurethane or ethyl vinyl acetate adhesive.

Bond using Optical Filters' proprietary liquid adhesive, VizBond™, which is reworkable and scalable to a large volume. Integrate touchscreens into EMI shielded customized component stacks.

Optical Filters can contract bond and laminate consigned touchscreen assemblies as well as provide turnkey touchscreen assemblies.
